We understand that every business is at a different stage of growth. Though eligibility criteria apply, the application is not a pass-or-fail test—it is simply meant to understand your business better and how we can best support you.
We are looking for ambitious SMEs that meet the following criteria:
✔️ Legally registered (business, social enterprise, or cooperative under URSB)
✔️ Operational for at least 2 years
✔️Annual turnover of UGX 80 million or more
✔️ Have a management structure in place
✔️ Committed to business growth and job creation
SMEs in the following value chains and regions will be given priority:
Albertine, Rwenzori, Busoga, West Nile, Kampala Metropolitan: Poultry, Piggery, Apiary, Renewable energy, Green construction, Sustainable tourism
Busoga, West Nile, Kampala Metropolitan only: Coffee & Cocoa, Sustainable forestry (timber & non-timber)
Busoga only: Aquaculture
West Nile only: Cassava, Sunflower, Simsim
Business operating in other sectors in agriculture or green economy may be considered if they demonstrate strong growth and job creation potential
